Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2)

The Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) service provides end users with a wide range of server (and desktop) instances running on 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. Users have the ability to launch pre-built Amazon machine Images (AMI’s) or their own AMI’s, for running Linux, BSD, or Windows operating systems, and can choose from various CPU, memory and disk configurations based on their needs and budget requirements.

EC2 instances can run on non-persistent, ephemeral storage as well as persistent Elastic Block Storage (EBS) backed volumes; EBS-backed volumes carry a slight increase in cost. Each have their pro’s and con’s, and there are many dynamics involved for scaling out your web applications and servers on EC2.

We can provide extensive support and consulting for your EC2 requirements.
